It can be said with little doubt that the first Stratosphere was not very good. There wasn’t a lot of buzz about it and it really never got very popular. However, Samsung isn’t a quitter and it seems like they’re about ready with the Stratosphere II.
Best Buy actually seems to be a little more prepared for the Stratosphere II than Verizon, though. While the latest Android phone with a hardware QWERTY keyboard hasn’t appeared on Verizon’s site, it has actually appeared on Best Buy’s. According to Engadget, Best Buy will be selling the Stratosphere II for a cool $100 with a two year contract.
It isn’t that bad, actually. The phone boasts a 1.2GHz dual core processor, 8GB storage, 1GB RAM, a 5MP camera, and an external SD card slot for additional storage. So is it great? No, it is not. However, it is above average. So if you love your QWERTY keyboards, Samsung might not have messed this one up for you.
The Stratosphere II hasn’t been released anywhere yet, even if it appears in the Best Buy system. Are there any hardware QWERTY fanatics looking to give this phone a shot? Tell us your thoughts.
