By Darryl Doak June 12, 2011 0 22 0 1 Carriers usually like to keep a tight lip over their future handset offerings. But, every once in a while, someone gets a screenshot that ruins the secrecy. Crackberry has received a couple screen shots of the Sprint Inventory Sheet which tipped them to future Blackberry handsets soon to be released, but this also reveals some handsets on the way that we previously didnt know the release dates for, and in some cases, didn’t know existed at all. Lets start at the top of the list and work our way down to see what sort of Android goodness we can expect. HTC Evo View 4G HTC Evo View 4G – “4G 7″ tablet”, SKU: ATP515CKIT, Release Date: 6/24/11 – This is the 7″ HTC Evo View 4G tablet that we’ve been hearing about, which is a rebadged HTC Flyer, which we’ve had a chance to review. The release date has been confirmed for 6/24/11 by Sprint.Advertisement Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1″ WIFI The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1″ WIFI (P4), SKU: SPHP4WIFI, Release Date: 6/24/11 Direct, 7/24/11 All – Sprint has been offering a few different WIFI only tablets through their retail channel no doubt to pair it with their 4G MIFI options. Having the ability to purchase a 10.1″ Galaxy Tab through a Sprint store might make it easier for some folks to get their hands on this tablet. This is considered by many to be one of the better tablets on the market, and is currently the thinnest tablet in the world. Samsung Replenish Samsung Replenish (M580) Berry, SKU: SPHM580PKK, Release Date: 7/24/11 – When the Samsung Replenish was announced they showed it in three colors, however at launch they only offered a Black and a Blue model. The third color finally joins the line up on 7/24/11. Motorola Titanium Motorola Titanium (i1x), SKU: MOT1XKIT, Release Date: 7/24/11 – The Motorola Titanium is the newest portrait QWERTY iDEN phone coming to the Sprint Nextel lineup. This phone isnt a high end handset however it will be a nice addition to the Push To Talk market. If your interested in this form factor, check out our breakdown of portrait style QWERTY’s here. Samsung Conquer 4G Thw Samsung Conquer 4G (D600), SKU: SPHD600BKS, Release Date: 7/24/11 – This is the previously unnamed phone the Samsung D600 that was leaked as coming to Sprint months ago. The chart shows that this one is slated to replace the Sanyo Zio in the Sprint lineup, which is an odd phone to replace being the Zio is a Slate form factor where the Conquer 4G is a QWERTY Slider. The specs known for this handset are as follows: single core 1GHz Processor, 320×480 HVGA screen, front facing camera, 3.1MP rear camera, WiMAX and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. I think this would be a better replacement for the Samsung Transform which has a similar HVGA screen and landscape QWERTY slider form factor, but I’m not Sprint Corporate. Also its interesting to see the Conquer with its WiMAX capabilities supposedly replacing the Zio as the Zio is a 3G EVDO only phone, and the Conquer has a 4G WiMAX radio. My first thought was that Sprint would have 4G in all their future handsets from low end to high end, but there are other handsets launching after the Conquer that do not have the 4G naming scheme, implying they are EVDO only. So, I’m still baffled on the Zio replacement statement. Other Phones The LG Optimus Slider (LS700/Gelato Q) Midnight Blue & Purple, SKU: LG700KIT & LG700PPKIT, Release Date: 9/11/11 – This is one of two handsets that are said to replace the low end Samsung Intercept. Do note that this handset does not sport the 4G naming scheme, so this is probably an EVDO phone. Other than that not much is known about this phone, except that it is most likely a landscape QWERTY slider. The Kyocera Oblique (C5120) Black & Pink, SKU: KYC5120BKS & KYC5120PKK, Release Date: 9/11/11 – This is the second handset slated to replace the Samsung Intercept. I find it somewhat odd that they have two seperate models looking to replace a phone that really wasnt that well of a seller in the first place. I’ve owned, and am currently am using a Samsung Intercept being I just returned my Google Nexus S. The Intercept is by no means a high end handset, which really puts these two replacement models into context. They are most likely going to be very low end handsets, landscape QWERTY sliders designed perfectly for your first time Smartphone user. Sadly, there is no leaked release date for the newly announced Motorola Photon 4G. This is the handset I was hoping the most to see a leaked release date for. However the Conquer 4G does sound like a capable handset. How many of you are looking forward to one of these leaked handsets?
