HTC One Max Drop Down

Earlier this week, HTC unveiled its all-new HTC One (M8), bringing a slightly redesigned look, improved specs and enhanced software. While the M8 is a major jump forward for HTC, the good news is that they haven’t forgotten about the HTC One (M7) and its brothers, the Mini and Max.

Just yesterday, the AT&T version of the HTC One Mini received an update to Android 4.4.2, and now it’s time for the Sprint version of the HTC One Max to get some KitKat lovin’ as well! So what’s all new here in today’s update? Honestly, not a whole lot, other than Android 4.4.2 KitKat and all the goodies that come with it.

Here’s the update change-log, though as you can see it’s a little sparse on details:

  • Android 4.4.2 update
  • Security enhancements
  • Cloud Print service
  • New Bluetooth profiles to support more media interactions

In typical fashion, this is a staged rollout so it may take a few days or more to reach everyone. If you haven’t received a notification prompting you to download, you can check for an update manually by going into your device settings. It’s also worth noting that this is a 343.93MB file, so you’ll want to be on Wi-Fi if data usage is a concern.

Have you received the update yet for your One Max, if so did everything go smoothly both during installation and after? Any other new HTC or carrier specific changes worth noting?
