Once you go 4G LTE, we can imagine how hard it is to go back to anything less zippy. Good news is Sprint is bringing its 4G LTE coverage to more area in the country, so you can get your ultra-high speed Internet fix easily.

If you live in the following cities, expect to see the ubiquitous 4G signal on your device before Labor Day. The four cities are:

  • Baltimore, MD
  • Gainesville, GA
  • Manhattan/Junction City, KS
  • Sherman-Denison, TX

The expansion followed last week’s 4G LTE rollout. The latest addition should bring up the total close to 20 cities. The carrier expects to provide a nationwide 4G LTE coverage – and enhanced 3G – for its 55 million customers in the US by the end of 2013. It’s quite an ambitious plan, but still doable.

All those speed can go to waste if you don’t sport a 4G LTE handset. In that case, you may want to keep an eye out for the latest 4G phone that Sprint will soon be offering– such as the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE.

Any folks in the aforementioned four cities? How excited are you to be finally getting 4G LTE?

Good for them! Still waiting on regular ole ‘4G’ here in the second largest city in WA. state… glad to see the ones that already had ‘4G’ are going to get the LTE variant before we even see 4G. Oh but we still have to pay extra monthly for ‘premium data (4G+)’ even though I’d have to drive 400 miles to take advantage of it. I wonder how many millions of their customers pay the extra $10 a month for a feature they may never see, let alone be able to use on a regular basis? Crooked if you ask me, but I guess that extra 20+ million a month in revenue helps them continue to upgrade their network in the same cities, while ignoring all the rest completely.

the reason you wont see Wimax in Your city is because the tech is completely useless and outdated, I live in baltimore, one of the first 4g cities, had a Epic for 2 years, never once did i use 4g and have a good experiance with it because of this. You had to turn it on to use it similar to wifi and it ate your battery because it was always searching where as LTE activates in a similar fashion to 3g and is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY faster( still not real 4g speeds but better).

In Chicago 3g doesn’t work and as i been reading other states too and when you call to complain you get “were upgrading our network sorry for the problems please accept our apologies were trying to bring great nationwide service” so that’s great bring out the LTE 4g so i wont be able to use it either with there incredibly unreliable network

i live in the country so when i try to hit sprint 3g, it simply isnt there. I had to get a Antenna for the house, they gave it for free since apparently our house sat right in the middle of a dead zone. See if you can get a deal like that. It helps a lot.
