Speaking of mysterious devices, an HTC smartphone was spotted today running on Android 4.0.1 and HTC Sense 4.0. We say that this is a mysterious device because as of this writing, the device is an unnamed unit. We’re having trouble identifying what model it is because the front is the same as almost all the other HTC devices. However, when the unit is flipped over, the mysterious device has contoured plastic panels which trademark HTC’s Incredible line.

We’ve looked around the internet and discovered that Phone Arena is speculating that this is the DROID Incredible 3 or even the HTC Fireball. Funny though, we don’t really see it as the same unit. We think it is actually a base design of an upcoming device which will be HTC’s successor to the Incredible S.

As for its specs, the phone will be featuring a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8MP camera with LED flash, front-facing VGA camera, AMOLED display, LTE, and Beats Audio.

We’re pretty excited when HTC makes this phone official so like you guys, we’re staying tuned!

  • Hmm, I was supposed to buy a new HTC unit this month, but maybe I should wait for this to come out. And personally, I prefer PhoneDog over PhoneArena. Aaron makes his videos a little more interested, though a bit repetitive at times.
