The Google Drive app for Android just keeps getting better and better. Now, those of us who need to edit spreadsheets often can do so on the go, thanks to the addition of a new feature to Google Drive.
The update, which is already available, adds the ability for users to create new spreadsheets or edit existing ones. More advanced operations that you would expect to find in Google Drive on your computer, like sorting and resizing columns, can now all be done right from your Android device.
Spreadsheet editing isn't the only thing added in the update. Users can now edit text within tables and, in a very useful new feature, you can now create shortcuts to individual documents on your homescreen. There are also a few fixes, such as better text formatting when copying and pasting between documents in Google Drive.

Is the spreadsheet editing feature something you imagine you'll be using a lot in the Google Drive app, or is it something you can live without?
