As the manufacturer has promised a while ago, the Sony Xperia TX Jelly Bean upgrade is now available. For now, it’s only available using the PC Companion software and it’s an update to Android 4.1.2 (firmware number is 9.1.B.0.411). It’s probably the same (or a similar) update to the one the Xperia T recently received.

Still, you probably should expect it to come over-the-air, too, soon enough. At the moment, various users on the XDA-developers forum say they have downloaded and installed the update successfully. The first impressions refer to better audio.

If you’ve checked and it’s not available for your Xperia TX yet, just keep checking in the next period and you’ll probably get it soon.

It’s nice to see that Sony has kept its word and delivered the update as promised. Do you have an Xperia TX? Have you received the update?
