Sony Xperia Z Tablet: Kitchen Edition

Cookbooks? Come on, we’re past that. There are too many good apps for food, and magazines galore via Play Magazines. You know it, I know it, and so does Sony. If you’re into tech and cooking, you can now get the Xperia Tablet Z: Kitchen Edition from Sony.

The 32GB tablet comes with an iGrill kitchen thermometer, as well as a few preloaded cooking apps like Evernote food and Food Planner Pro. Sony has also partnered with Saveur, the popular food magazine, to bring you 260 recipes spanning all kinds of genres and categories — one for each weeknight, for a full year. The iGrill app is also preloaded, so you can keep a watchful eye on the roast while checking Android Authority in the other room.

The bundle will run you $649, which is actually a savings of about $10 if you were to purchase the two separately. The Xperia Tablet Z is also water resistant, and Sony claims you can submerge it for up to 30 seconds with no problem. A tablet you can wash in the sink with the rest of the dishes? Awesome.

The package is available on the Sony website now, so head on over and get cooking!

or you could use a recipe book and a £2.00 thermometer….is this a joke?

in the same way you can get a feature phone and a good digital camera instead of a samsung galaxy s4 zoom or a nokia lumia 1020.

or you can get a standard phone and a small laptop instead of a smartphone.
