How to flash ClockworkMod Recovery on Xperia phones via the RecoverX toolkit

Noob-friendly tools have been popular these days. You can find tools that can easily root your Android devices, flash ClockworkMod Recovery, or even do both with just a click of a button. You can even easily install ClockworkMod Recovery on your Xperia phones by using the RecoverX toolkit.

Developed by XDA Developers member LEDelete, the RecoverX toolkit lets you flash ClockworkMod Recovery on your Xperia mobile phones. You don't need to go through learning codes or performing difficult steps. With RecoverX, you will only need to connect your phone and let the kit do its thing. The tool will work with the following Xperia smartphones:

  • Xperia Active
  • Xperia Arc
  • Xperia Arc S
  • Xperia Live with Walkman
  • Xperia Mini
  • Xperia Mini Pro
  • Xperia Neo
  • Xperia Neo V
  • Xperia P (needs an unlocked bootloader)
  • Xperia Play
  • Xperia Pro
  • Xperia Ray
  • Xperia S (Beta)
  • Xperia Sola (needs an unlocked bootloader)
  • Xperia U (needs an unlocked bootloader
  • Xperia X8
  • Xperia X10
  • Xperia X10 Mini
  • Xperia X10 Mini pro

The kit supports stock Android 2.3 Gingerbread and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It also works with locked bootloaders, but some Xperia handset models will require you to unlock the bootloader first before using this kit. Check the list above to see if your phone needs their bootloader unlocked.

  1. Extract the RecoverX.zipfile on your computer
  2. Connect your phone to the computer via the USB cable.
  3. Go to the extracted folder and launch RecoverX by double-clicking RecoverX.exe.
  4. From the list, locate and select your Xperia smartphone model.
  5. Choose the custom recovery that you want to install for the selected Xperia smartphone. Click Next once you have made your selection.
  6. A warning message will appear, showing the requirements for this procedure. Make sure you have all those requirements before proceeding.
  7. On the next screen, click Yes, begin the installation to start flashing the custom recovery on your mobile phone.

    why do all the turtorials every stupid android website makes not include the xperia miro st23i, i rooted it whats the point if theres no cwm!!!!!!!
