By David Gonzales August 8, 2013 0 17 11 4 Fans of the built-in Sony media apps found in phones such as the Xperia Z are in for a treat, as it has been revealed that Sony has started rolling out an official software update to make an already great set of Android apps even better. A total of three apps are affected by this software update, and these are the Album, Movies, and Walkman app, which all help to facilitate media consumption on Sony’s leading Xperia smartphones. Changes to the apps include refined cloud integration, which should allow users to access their media content more easily whether they are stored locally or on the cloud.Advertisement Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited are being tied better to the apps as part of the update, which means that it’s really not just for minor and surface-level tweaks. If you haven’t received the software update yet, just wait. The rollout is being performed gradually and as long as you own an Xperia-branded Sony smartphone with Android 4.2, the over-the-air (OTA) download notification should hit you soon. In the meantime, watch this 3-minute video to find out exactly what the software update is all about. 0 17 11 previous postSony FCC filing indicates Chromecast-like streamer in the worksnext postLG G2 comes with Graphic RAM, but what is it?
