For those who are not looking to sport the speediest phone in the market, Sony has plenty of reasonably priced low to mid-end offerings to consider, one of which is the Xperia E, introduced just late last year.
You may have spotted the Xperia E Dual (check out our comprehensive review of the phone here) in stores in the UK before, seeing that it’s been out since February, but the single SIM variant is finally available for purchase in the country — at least from one online retailer.
You can get the black Xperia E from Clove's website, where the handset is selling for £129.99, tax included and unlocked. If you’re more interested in the white version, it’ll be up for grabs for the same price starting early next month.
As to why anyone should choose the plain Xperia E over the Dual version, well, for one – it’s about £40 cheaper. The rest of the specs are the same, though.
The phone comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA display and a single-core 1GHz MSM7227A Snapdragon processor. It also offers 512MB of RAM, 4GB internal storage, microSD support (up to 32GB), a 3.2-megapixel rear camera, HSPA, 1,500mAh battery, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
