Sony has just released its Xperia Lounge app which aims at giving users access to the latest news on Sony products, competitions and promotions.  There’s regularly updated music, sport, game and movie content available to browse, even if you’re not an Xperia handset user.  But if you're lucky enough to own an Xperia smartphone then you can get access to additional content streaming and exclusive VIP articles as well.

To sweeten the launch of their new app Sony is throwing in some exclusive Coldplay content, a competition to win tickets to see Swedish House Mafia and a chance to win tickets to FIFA events later on in the year.

If you’re an Xperia owner and want access to the VIP goodies then all you have to do is register, which can be done easily for free though the app.  But don’t fret if you’re not a Sony customer, you can still enter some of the competitions. All you need to do is link the app with your Facebook or Google+ account.
