Is the Sony Ericsson Kumquat getting a new name? Well at least we won’t have a hard time pronouncing the Kumquat name!
Based on a tipster from GSMArena, the recently leaked real life photos of the Sony Kumquat have been revealed with a different name on an Indonesian website. According to the tipster, the smartphone was referred to as the Sony Xperia U on the Indonesian website; which served as a counterpart of the US’s very own FCC.
Bearing features such as a 480x854p resolution, 3.5-inch display, 1GHz dual-core processor, and a 5MP rear camera; the Sony Xperia U was also linked to a Chinese site. This gave speculation on whether or not the Xperia U will be making a Chinese debut.
Apart from the different name, the device is believed to be released sometime in April.
