Sony Ericsson hesitant about Android and Google

Android is sad

VnuNet.com is reporting that Sony Ericsson last week admitted to having working prototypes of Android OS based devices in its labs, but that it said that it has no plans to bring such a device to market. Sony Ericsson’s Mats Lindoff said at a media event in Denmark that Sony Ericsson was a bit concerned about Google’s services dominating the platform, saying:

“If you want to give every service away to Google, then Android is the perfect solution.”

So while we can hold out hope that Sony Ericsson will develop a commercial product in the future, it doesn’t seem like that is likely to happen very soon.
