The Unwired have received a press report from T-Mobile stating that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will be available from April in Germany. This is the start of the X10 roll out, which was originally due for release in February.

This Xperia device runs Android 1.6 (aka Donut), but also has a customised user interface on-top similar to what HTC have achieved with their ‘Sense UI’. Unlike any HTC Android device, however, the X10 offers a whopping 4.0″ WVGA (480×854) scratch-resistant capacitive screen. Throw in a 1 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and a 8.1 megapixel camera and you can begin to remember what all the fuss was about.

The version of the X10 which will be available on T-Mobile Germany will support quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE at 850/900/1800/1900MHz as well as triband UMTS/HSPDA/HSUPA at 900/1700/2100. No prices or service plans were given in the original press release.
