SHARP Android device

Mobile Crunch are putting two and two together and concluding that Softbank, Japan’s third largest carrier, is going to release Sharp manufactured Android feature device next year. So let’s break it down and put the pieces together ourselves.

First, SoftBank announce that they will launch at least one Android device in 2010. More details are promised next month when the company announce their new range of devices. Following directly on from this announcement, Sharp spilled the beans and mentioned that it will release a yet to be established number of Android based devices in 2010, starting as early as the first half of the new year. This is good news for Google either way as Sharp is the biggest cellphone manufacturer in Japan. We’ll keep you informed of any developments as things become more official.
