It’s been quite a while since ex-NBA star Shaquille O’Neal has tried his hand in the entertainment industry. Projects like Shaq Fu and Kazaam weren’t exactly highly regarded. Well, regardless of past success in the industry, Shaq is back! This time he’s starring in his first mobile game, ShaqDown, where he endeavors to lay the proverbial smacketh down upon hordes of zombies.
That’s right, not only is Shaq the star, it’s yet another zombie game. No problem there, most of us are gadget geeks who also love zombies. Combine that with one of the most likeable, entertaining athletes of the last 20 years and we may have a winner.
Developed by Hiptic games, the gameplay in ShaqDown will be quite familiar. It is a typical action-packed side-scroller with plenty of swiping and tapping on the screen. The storyline is simple – Shaq is the only man capable of destroying hordes of zombies who have enslaved humanity.
The game is now available for 99 cents in Google Play.
