Samsung will roll out the... “S Carpet” for Galaxy S6 buyers

Judging from the name alone, you would be forgiven to think that Samsung’s S Carpet is some sort of belated April Fools’ prank. Alas, there isn’t even a hint of self-irony here.

Goofy name aside, if you really want to get the Galaxy S6 as soon as possible, you will want to know about the series of events that Samsung is holding around the world to mark the launch of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge. Samsung will be “rolling out the S Carpet” for Galaxy S6 buyers from 75 cities on six continents. For now, only about 20 venues have been announced, including Seoul, Moscow, Kuala Lumpur, Frankfurt, Bucharest, New York, Vancouver, and Auckland. Check out the list for full details.

Besides the chance to be first, walking down the S Carpet will let you pick up unspecified missions rewarded with unspecified “fabulous prizes.” Samsung reps will also help you transfer data from your old device on to the brand new Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge, on the spot.

S Carpet extends Samsung’s Galaxy S6 World Tour, which started with the Unpacked event in Barcelona, and continues with shows in Dubai, Moscow, Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, and Seoul.
