Samsung helped pave the way for Android tablets with the Galaxy Tab. The Koreans haven’t been afraid to break the mold, either. By subsequently releasing tablets in an assortment of sizes, Sammy has given consumers a wider variety of options.

The successor to the original Galaxy Tab, the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, was introduced about a couple of months ago. For those who have been eyeing on the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, the special student edition offered by Best Buy should help make that decision easier, thanks to the bundled bonuses.

At 10.5 mm thick, the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 isn’t as thin as the Nexus 7, but it’s about the same weight. It boasts a dual-core 1GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 3MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Though it’s reported to be coming to stores by next week, you can now find the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Student Edition at Best Buy stores. The bundled tablet comes with a free Bluetooth keyboard dock with a stand and a USB connector. The special edition tablet will set you back $250.

One lucky customer who has purchased the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Student Edition took the time to do an unboxing video of the 7-incher. It’s worth the look before you shell out $250 for the tablet at your local Best Buy.

I like my Tab 2 7.0, I bought it a couple of days after release. I even bought one for my Mom for mothers day, she likes it as well. I think this is a great deal… Kind of feel burned that as an early adopter of this tablet, buying it twice, it’s now being released with accessories I paid an extra $100 for. Great deal for new buyers. As someone who took a chance at launch, it kind of leaves a sour taste in my mouth. It’d be cool if Samsung would ship all initial buyers a free keyboard dock, but don’t see that happening. Oh well, no regrets here, I’d recommend this to anyone who needs a laptop replacement you can take on the go for cheap. I use mine daily.

I wnet to local Best Buy in Ft. Lauderdale to purchase Galaxy 2 7.0…..asked about Student edition as I would have bought that for the extras they include. They had no idea of product….even looked it up on their system and found nothing….I told them that it was coming on the 19th and they all looked like deer in headlights….so I took the basic 2 7.0… home and researched Amazon and found package for 2 7.0 for $16.95 that has two cases, stylus, car charger, screen protector and earphones….think thats a better package than a keyboard….really for a 7 inch I dont think you need a key board…..just my humble opinion…BTW….tablet is great and faster than the Galaxy 10 that my Wife purchased last year.
