The Samsung Galaxy Tab has had the root treatment from Germany hackers developers Sera-Apps (in German). This achievement is something that the Android community can become excited about as it makes the Samsung Galaxy Tab one of the most flexible tablets around (well, soon to be around).
Sera-Apps allegedly rooted a Tab at the IFA trade show, and in doing so it is possible that Samsung will increase efforts to ‘lock down’ the device to prevent it from becoming rooted so easily. The good news is that the developers haven’t made public their method, which is a smart thing to do because it gives Samsung less to work with when creating a fix.
