It looks like Walmart is currently offering the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 at a nice discount. Of course, as nice as the discount is, there are a few catches that may keep some from making the purchase. Just to begin with, the offer is on a refurbished model and available by way of Walmart. Yes, a refurbished unit, which we realize may scare some off. With that being a potential drawback for some, I will mention another limiting factor — the inventory. There is not any mention as to how many units are left with Walmart, however as with a any refurbished offering, there are only so many available.

With those warnings out of the way, lets get into the good stuff, the price. The offer is simple, buy a refurbished Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and save about $80. The tablet is regularly priced (new and unopened) at $249.99 and this offer brings the price down to $169.99. Furthermore, Walmart will ship the tablet for $0.97.

In terms of what you are getting, the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is a 7-inch tablet with Android 4.0 ICS. The specs include a 1024 x 600 display, dual-core 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, VGA quality front-facing camera and a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera. The tablet also has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, HDMI, a 4,000 mAh battery and weighs in at 0.76 pounds.

Are you tempted by the Walmart deal?

Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 8GB not enough storage/memory. There’s no option to add anything to the sd card. I have 32gb sd card that’s still empty. Device offers encryption and password setup but the options are greyed out.
