While the Wi-Fi-only version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is already available for preorders in Canada (through Best Buy and Future Shop), a lot of Canadians are wishing for the 3G or 4G version. That Canadian wish may come true this month, according to a photo of an internal document leaked to MobileSyrup.com this week.
The document allegedly is a product brochure of devices available on Rogers. According to MobileSyrup.com, the photo’s source said that the tablet will be carrying Android 3.1 Honeycomb, contrary to what the brochure is saying. The tablet will also be the “4G” version.
Just like the U.S. version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the one heading for Rogers will also have a 10.1-inch multitouch display with 1280×800 resolution, dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor (1.0 GHz), 1 GB of RAM, a primary and a secondary camera, 16 GB of internal memory, and an updated version of Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
The tipster couldn’t provide information on the price or release date, but we figure that the upcoming tablet will definitely cost more (probably around C$600) than the Wi-Fi-only version (C$500).
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G/4G version will be Rogers’ latest addition to its Android tablets portfolio, which currently consists of the original Samsung Galaxy Tab (7-inch) and the LG Optimus Pad.
