SamMobile received information Wednesday afternoon that Samsung would introduce the Galaxy Star at Mobile World Congress next week. The publication reports that the device will be a low end smartphone in the Galaxy lineup with an expected release in April.

SamMobile said that the Galaxy Star GT-S5282 is based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It will sport a 3-inch QVGA display, 2MP rear shooter, 4GB of internal storage, and a microSD slot allowing up to 32GB of expandable storage. It will, as is expected, have Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 1200 mAh battery.

Pricing for the Galaxy Star isn't available just yet, but we don't expect it to take a huge toll on your wallet. It'd be nuts to be priced at $99 or more since, in most cases, you can get much better specs than what is offer in the Galaxy Star for $99.

Be sure to stay tuned with Android Authority as MWC commences! We'll be there to supply you with all the latest news in the Android world!
