Just last month we reported on leaked specs for the rumored Galaxy S5 Zoom, which had surfaced via benchmark site GFXBench. Although it’s still unclear if the S5 Zoom is really in the works or just another fictional product from the rumor mills, a newly leaked screenshot does lend at least a little more credence to the idea.

Reportedly going by the name “Galaxy K Zoom” the cameraphone recently popped up in a new image, thanks to a site named after the rumored handset. While this immediately raises a few concerns about the legitimacy of the image, its design language certainly fits what we’d expect from a Samsung device. Of course, until we get more definitive proof of the GS5 Zoom’s existence, we’d take this entire rumor with a grain of salt.

So what can we expect from the GS5 Zoom hardware wise? The handset is said to offer a 1.3Ghz hexa-core Exynos CPU with a Mali-T624 GPU, alongside 2GB RAM. There’s also a 4.8-inch display with a 720p resolution, 16GB storage, NFC, a 20.2MP rear camera, a 2MP front facing cam, and at least 10x optical zoom. As you can see, it’s specs are nowhere near the actual Galaxy S5.

With Samsung’s Galaxy S5 already focusing on upgrading its camera significantly over past-gen Galaxy S models, do you feel that its even necessary for Samsung to release a new Zoom handset at this point?
