A set of Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini pictures have supposedly surfaced online, and, while they’re not official, they are pretty consistent with how the device looked in previously leaked images.
Namely, the new pictures of the Galaxy S4 Mini show a device that looks like a smaller Samsung Galaxy S4, aimed at those wanting a smartphone with a similar look, but with a smaller footprint (which is quite a trend these days).
Some of the images, like the one you can see below, have a ruler next to the device, so you can get a better idea concerning the dimensions.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini has been rumored for a while now and is said to be coming this summer. As far as specs go, it is expected to have a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED qHD display (pixel density is said to be 256 ppi), as well as a dual-core CPU running at 1.6 GHz and a 5 megapixel camera. It will run Android 4.2.2 and will also get a dual SIM version – four versions have made an appearance on the Samsung website, we’ll just have to see see if they confirm.
Until they do, you can see a couple more of the pictures that have appeared online below.
Would you be tempted to get the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini when it becomes available?

question: if it’s called an S4, will it get the Jedi features as well? At least some of them?
Jedi features, lol. Made my day!
Mini specs? not interested
Of course the specs won’t be as good as the S4. If you were to pack in the same screen resolution, same processor, etc, you would need a bigger battery to support them, which is where the “mini” would end up being the same size as the S4 to fit in the battery. So essentially, to make sure it stays “mini”, it’s common sense that the specs are downgraded.
Sony could do it with the ZR, it even betters the Z on a few things, so why Samsung can not? Sure the ZR is bigger than S4 Mini and considerably thicker than the Z, but still, well done to Sony, and Samsung you are not even trying.
boring specs !!
The real question is whether the screen will be pentile or not. If it isn’t then the screen is actually pretty decent (would’ve preferred 720p). All the other known specs are decent enough for the average consumer which means people who want a powerhouse get the S4 and the average consumer picks up the S4 mini.
Another question is the UI. If it has most of the software features of the S4 than its worth the buy, if not than there are other mid range devices that you can buy for a similar price. you’d be amazed at how cheap the S3 is right now.
Its gonna be the same old Pentile qHD AMOLED that Motorola loves so much (RAZR M and RAZR i), pretty crappy by todays standards.
I don’t understand this mini thing companies are doing. I find it annoying. I also think it’s great that samsung has every inch size phone that there can be, but it’s going to eventually hurt them in long run.
