We all know that Samsung loves to cover virtually every phone size they can think of, and I’m sure many of you have been looking forward to the more traditionally sized Galaxy S4 Mini. Unfortunately, it appears that Samsung has delayed the launch of the Galaxy S4 Mini until mid July.
The not so small Galaxy S4 Mini had been supposedly scheduled to launch a few weeks after the Galaxy S4, around May 20th, but instead it has been delayed until week 29, which would put the release date between July 15th and July 21st.
For a quick recap, the Galaxy S4 Mini will ship with a 4.3 inch HD display, an 8 megapixel camera, Android 4.2.2, and all the standard smartphone goodies like WiFi, Bluetooth, etc. The phone will reportedly come in single and dual-SIM variants, with the former (GT-I9190) sporting a quad-core processor and the later (GT-I9192 or Duos model) opting for a dual-core CPU.
Whilst the cause of the delay hasn’t been officially stated, it could well be simply to give the Galaxy S4 a little more breathing room before launching another product. Remember that the Galaxy S3 Mini was launched a full five months after the larger Galaxy S3.
