We have seen so many different renders of the Galaxy S3, and while most of them were fakes, we have also heard many rumors about the Galaxy S3’s specs. But here is something we haven’t heard yet, Samsung might be incorporating 3D (glassless) functionality into the Galaxy S3 line of Android phones. This would complete Samsung’s ecosystem, along with their 3D televisions which are on sale now.

As far as specs go, nothing has been confirmed with Samsung but we have seen rumors that it will feature a Super AMOLED Plus HD screen, 2GB of RAM, a Quad-Core processor, LTE connectivity, running on Android’s latest ICS firmware with Touchwiz – Samsung’s own overlay. If Samsung does unveil the Galaxy S3 at Mobile World Congress in 2012, it will run right in line with their yearly refresh of the Galaxy S lineup.

Proposed render of the Galaxy S3

As with most rumors we see surrounding Android and it’s devices, I wouldn’t take them to heart. But with Mobile World Congress only a few more months away I expect that we will be seeing a lot more rumors about the Galaxy S3 line as well as some other phones from the other manufacturers. Don’t forget to stay with Android Authority for all the coverage of MWC 2012.

If the Galaxy S3 came with 3D functionality, how would you feel? We’ve already seen HTC put out a 3D phone, the HTC EVO 3D, which was a very successful line of android phones. Let us know your opinion in the comments. What are you looking for? HD AMOLED display? Quad-core power? 2GB of RAM? All of the above?
