In most parts of the world, if you want the Samsung Galaxy S3, you have to go out and get it yourself. But in Russia, the Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE goes to you!
All 80s jokes aside, Samsung’s current Android-flavored flagship smartphone is indeed going to make its way to Russia very soon, as it’s set to become available through Russia’s second largest mobile carrier, MegaFon, starting December 10th. It will be sold through numerous retailers located in 17 major cities which include Moscow and Saint Petersburg.
The Galaxy S3 features a 4.8-inch 720p HD screen, an 8-megapixel camera, up to 64GB of storage, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It also boasts built-in 4G LTE connectivity, which means that it will be Russia’s first LTE-enabled handset. Now our comrades will finally experience the fastest form of mobile Internet with one of the most powerful phones ever.

Why are they getting the device so late? Did the pigeon carrying the message to the motherland fly offtrack during hurricane Sandy?
S3 was on Russian market for months. It’s a favorite device of all of Android users amongst my friends, many of them already bought this phone or plan to do that by Winter holidays. Problem is that most buyers prefer to buy “grey” S3 from small importers, shuttle traders or even order them from abroad, because new top gadgets always get delayed and ridiculously overpriced in Russia by official suppliers, usually starting from $800 to $1000 in few weeks of sales (if I remember correctly, S3 3G was something like 29999 rubles on start). Also, LTE networks is still on first stages of introduction in Russia; 3G prevails now and will be for a couple of years, I think.
forget the device..I already have one. . give me these 2 russian girls. you gotta them russian girls :D
That’s not true. Lumia 920 is already working with russian LTE networks
Nokia Lumia 920 is already working in MegaFon’s LTE network. Samsung GS3 was anounced on the 4th of december and will be in shop 20-th december.
