Samsung Galaxy S
Since the recent official announcement of Android 2.3 and the unveiling of the Google Nexus S produced by Samsung, many people have speculated as to whether the Samsung Galaxy S series of phones will receive an update to Android 2.3 as well. The driving force behind these queries lies in the fact that the Nexus S and Galaxy S series share many similar hardware features, thus making a port of Gingerbread rather likely.
Plenty of other websites have speculated as little as 2 hours ago (at the time of writing), but it would appear as though the matter has been solved by Samsung India. They have recently made a Twitter update, revealed after the jump, outlining this simple fact. Unfortunately, and predictable, we have no word on whether Samsung plan to do this as slowly as they did with Froyo. Bare in mind that the Nexus S itself is not out until December 16th. Check out the Twitter reports after the jump.

This implies that Samsung has rolled out Froyo. Guess what? They haven’t.
Guess what? yes they did, but not to US hardware.
