Samsung just took the wraps off of the latest addition to their Galaxy Note series, and while there wasn’t much that wasn’t already known about the phone, all the various color options of the Galaxy Note 8 really need to be seen in the flesh. For a lot of consumers, including me, the color of your smartphone makes all the difference in the world, so here is a closer look at all the available colors of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8!

The latest Samsung flagship will be available in four colors including Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, and Maple Gold, along with a brand new color that Samsung is introducing with the Galaxy Note 8 called Deep Sea Blue.

What is great about all these colors is that regardless of the one you pick, the front is going to be black, as was also seen with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. Not only does this look a lot cleaner to me, but with the Galaxy Note 8, it now also ties in with the blacked-out camera modules on the back.

Starting with the Midnight Black, this will likely be one of the more popular options once again since you really can’t go wrong with it. It is completely black, on the front, back and sides, and looks extremely sleek and stealth. Its also the safer choice if you prefer a more neutral color. The only downside to the black version is that fingerprints and smudges will likely be more noticeable here.

Next up is Orchid Gray, or as I like to call it, the Robocop edition. This was one of the more unique colors that was introduced with the Galaxy S8 and it has now made its way over to the Galaxy Note line as well. It is a somewhat difficult color to describe because it doesn’t always look gray and depending on the lighting conditions, can sometimes look blue or have hints of purple, which is why this color is so unique.

This chameleon-like paint job is really beautiful to look at and something you have to see in person to truly appreciate. I’m definitely glad that Samsung has chosen to continue using this color and to bring it to their other flagship series as well.

The color option that is my personal favorite though is Maple Gold, or the Gold Ranger as I like to call it. I haven’t been much of a fan of other gold phones from other OEMs, mostly because a gold back usually means a white front, but we now finally have a gold phone with a black front. The black and gold color combination has been one of favorites for a very long time, so this Maple Gold iteration was the one among all the colors to capture my fancy. It’s clean, it’s sexy, and it’s a color that will definitely stand out, if that is what you are looking for.

Finally we have the the newest color that Samsung has added to the mix called Deep Sea Blue. This is a very different shade of blue from the ones Samsung has used in the past, and as the name suggests, it is a very deep shade of blue. This color also does a great job of complementing the black front and camera module and if you want a color that is definitely eye-catching but not as flashy as something like the Maple Gold, the Deep Sea Blue is a great choice.

As Samsung has done in the past however, not every color option will be available in every market, at least initially. For example, only the Midnight Black and Orchid Gray colors will be available in the US, so if you want the Maple Gold or the new Deep Sea Blue, you will most likely have to import it. Of course, Samsung may also change their mind later on to meet consumer demands.
