Did you happen to miss Samsung’s big announcement at the CES 2013 yesterday? If you got the time to spare, you can catch the magic unfolds right in your living room by viewing Samsung’s keynote presentation in its entirety.

Among other things, you’ll see the the introduction of the new Exynos 5 Octa processor that is likely to power the company’s flagship devices this year, the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3 included.

Also showcased during the press event was Samsung’s flexible OLED display for smartphone, which you may also know as Youm. Again, there’s a possibility that the technology will make a showing at its mobile lineup in 2013. It’s definitely something to look forward to.

The video runs a little over an hour. If you merely want to see the Exynos 5 Octa processor bit, skip straight to minute 12:30 in the video, while the flexible OLED display showcase starts at around 39:40.

So GPU power will be twice that on the Exynos Dual (as said in the presentation), witch means the next top of the line tablet from Samsung will have roughly the same graphic power as an iPad 4, and we know graphic power is the limiting factor with these HD+ screens. By the time Samsung releases such a tablet, iPad 5 will be there, crushing its opponent again.
On the CPU side, this Octa will demolish the iPad 4, but I find this combination not to be balanced very well.

ipad 5 will crush nothing but the 4. ipad 5 will be the same as the ipad 4 but only faster. lmao.

You do know iPads are not he only tablets dude ?

Unless you’ve used the iPad 5, you really can’t say it’ll be *ONLY* faster than the iPad 4. Further, having 8 cores doesn’t mean much in real-life performance. Intel mentioned last year that Android wasn’t optimized for multi-core chips.

Witch also means faster than everything else.
I’m willing to pay high cash for the best in class, but I don’t want an iPad, so I’m still waiting for such a device and I hope someone builds the product I want. Obviously, we aren’t there yet witch the Exynos 5 Octa.

Oh my gosh the options flowing through my head. I think I am having a stroke. From being able to “slide your screen” to make make it bigger, smaller, you could put a screen anywhere. Yup I am full on having a stroke at this moment.

worst presentation ever. I can’t believe they have such a cool technology and such bad presentation skills. They are like 8th graders trying to immitate steve jobs.
