Love them or hate them, Angry Birds has quickly become one of the most iconic mobile games in history. In many ways Angry Birds is to the mobile gaming industry what PacMan or Pong is to the home and arcade gaming industries.

That being said, it was only a matter of time before Rovio expanded the birds franchise into spin-off territory. While it has already made a near-endless amount of Angry Bird sequels like Seasons, Rio and Space- what about the pigs?

It seems that Rovio has already started teasing pretty hard its new pig-based spin-off to Angry Birds. The game is being called Bad Piggies in some circles, though its unclear on whether or not that's the official title for the game. What we do know is that Rovio has opened both Twitter and Facebook pages for the game.

As far as gameplay, we know nothing yet, though it could very well be about attempting to capture and steal eggs away from the birds, maybe even setting up traps along the way.

Though details are scarce right now, Rovio has released a teaser trailer for Bad Piggies, which you can see above. As Rovio says, “Something PIG is coming”. Are you ready?
