Some users out there think Android OEMs provide an experience today that doesn't need custom ROMs. While that may be the case for some people, Android isn't a one size fits all platform.

CyanogenMod 10.1 official nightly builds are now available for the GSM version and the Sprint variant of the HTC One. The builds aren't yet considered stable but are working sufficiently well for enthusiasts to use. The biggest bug at the moment seems to be that the audio on outgoing calls can be "hit or miss".

ChaOS is an custom Android ROM, based on CyanogenMOD, that focuses on user control and customizing each piece of Android. The most notable feature of ChaOS is the theme engine. The entire framework has been modified around their theme engine allowing for maximum customization.
