For our friends in the great white North — Canada, Rogers will have the exclusive on the Motorola RAZR. Said to be available in time for the holidays, so far no pricing has been announced. I’d figure it’ll be a little bit cheaper then the $299 pricing for Verizon Wireless given the Canadian standard three-year contract. Other than that, you can expect the same slim fast phone as was announced earlier today.

Motorola RAZRTM: Put the Impossible in your Pocket. Again.
Head-turning design and life-changing features, available only at Rogers

TORONTO – OCTOBER 18, 2011 – Say hello to the jaw-dropping new Motorola RAZRTM, brought to you by the brains at Motorola Mobility Canada and available exclusively at Rogers Communications. Impossibly thin and lightweight, this smartphone is loaded with sexy curves. Its sculpted glass face, diamond-cut aluminum accents and hyper-saturated 4.3” Super AMOLED Advanced display are museum-worthy industrial design, while its Kevlar® fiber (yes, that Kevlar) and Corning® Gorilla® Glass screen with splash-guard coating, make this work of art a force to be reckoned with.

While they’re still dazzled by the outside, hit them with what’s inside. A cool 1GB of RAM hooks up with that dual-core processor and AndroidTM 2.3.5 to get you a lightning-fast user interface and the power to multi-task like never before. Rock your playlists while you check your email, breeze through photos – all at the same time, all without delay. Motorola RAZR comes preloaded with the Motorola MotoCast™ app1, giving you the power to stream or download content from your PC straight to your device so your personal content is always within reach. Watch movies on a screen that sports a wider range of colours than most LCD HDTVs. And when you’re tired of watching (as if), use the cinematic-quality front-facing 720p video camera and 8MP rear-facing camera with even sharper 1080p HD video capture to create your own movies – and turn your life into art without breaking a sweat.”

Any of our Canadian readers looking to pick up the RAZR on Rogers “in time for the holidays”? Lets us know in the comments.

Cool, I’ll hit up a Rogers Plus and check it out. I’m holding out to see what the Prime has in store and if it is coming to Rogers too.

well you still have time, like I said in the article neither of them are available for pre order or sale yet. So you can take your time and think about the decision.

The Evil Empire… *sigh* I hate exclusive sales. Should not be allowed. I should be able to have whatever phone I want on whatever network I want.

Ive been a Motorola fan since the beginning of cellular phones. I jumped ship to the iPhone when it came out and have been hoping ever since that Motorola would make something for me to jump ship again – I think it just happened. Good by iPhone

i am a Bell user and I seriously love this phone, but it sucks to hear the exclusivity of the phone. Simply hate that shit !!!

This is BS. in the USA, I guarantee it will be on multiple carriers. In Canada it comes to ONLY one carreir, and I wouldn’t be surpried if its the thicker (lte) gimped out version and we get it dead last before other countries. This has been an ongoing trend for almost all new electronics in Canada. Get your act together Canada government. I much rather get it on a carrier like Telus. They’re not the best, no-one is in Canada, but at least they don’t charge you and arm and a leg, and force you to buy a data plan like Rogers still does with every smartphone.

This is not BS. it’s business. Rogers pays Motorola a fee to have exclusivity at launch. This is not a regulatory issue. Do some research

imaging if the solid TV’s with exclusivity, the new Samsung only works with Bell but the new sony works with Videotron…
