While the Samsung Galaxy S4 has already seen KitKat upgrades from several carriers in the United States and internationally, today the GS4 KitKat update is finally making its way over to Rogers customers in Canada.
So what’s new in the 414.46MB update? Obviously the biggest change is Android 4.4 KitKat and the changes that come with it, such as Hangouts and SM integration. Judging by other S4 upgrades, we can also expect some Samsung specific changes including minor Samsung app updates and KitKat-style white status icons.
Thanks to a tipster, we can confirm that the update is rolling out to at least some folks right now, though keep in mind that it could take a few days before it reaches everyone. If you’ve yet to receive a notification informing you of the update, you can always attempt to check manually for it by going to Settings> More> About Device> Software.
For those that have already received the update to KitKat, what do you think of the update so far? Any other major changes worth taking note of in the update?
Thanks for the tip, Zak!
