For nearly seven months, we’ve waited for the coming of the Motorola DROID BIONIC. During those months, we were teased with leaked photos, rumors, and insider info that neither pinned down a precise release date for the DROID BIONIC nor told us of what it would look like. The more than half a year’s wait is almost over–the Motorola DROID BIONIC is coming on August 4 on Verizon Wireless, according to a leaked screenshot on AndroidCentral.

The Motorola DROID BIONIC has earned fame–or infamy, depending on which side of the fence you’re on–because it has gone through several software and hardware redesigns ever since it was launched at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this year. The final launch version may yet again reveal several updates to the ones leaked earlier. Much anticipation for the Motorola DROID BIONIC has been gathered since CES primarily because this Android smartphone is said to be the first Motorola device to support 4G LTE on Verizon.

Meanwhile, the Motorola DROID 3 (also known as the Motorola Milestone 3) will launch on Verizon Wireless on July 14. Best Buy has also been reported to have the same release date for the Motorola DROID 3 as Verizon. Many people have also been eagerly waiting for the DROID 3′s arrival, since it is thought of to be the “king of all QWERTY superphones.”

No details about the price have been sent out yet. For the meantime, you’re free to speculate. What might be good price points for these upcoming Android smartphones from Motorola?

Does this mean that the July 7th date for direct-sales is not accurate?

I certainly hope the Bionic’s 8mp camera is centered rather than at the edge ~
