If you’re interesting in the HTC One Max but looking for something a bit more eye-catching than silver, you’ll be happy to know that a red variant might be in the works — at least if a newly leaked image proves legit.

Coming by way of leaked promotional materials from the Taiwanese carrier Far EasTone, the image above shows the aluminum-clad HTC One Max sporting the new red hue. Aside from a new paint job, we assume that the device’s specs will remain the same as ever, that means a Snapdragon 600 CPU with 2GB of RAM.

Although HTC has yet to confirm the existence of the red HTC One Max, we can’t say we are surprised considering both the HTC One and HTC One Mini come in multiple different colors including their own shades of red.

What we don’t know is if this is the only new color coming to the Max, or whether we’ll see more in the near future. We also can’t say for certain when this red version will be launched or even in what markets it will show up in (aside from Taiwan).

Adding additional colors as a product ages is nothing new, but there are folks that appreciate the idea of getting their handset in unique colors that better stand out in a crowd. What do you think of the red version of the HTC One Max, would you be interested in picking it up or not?
