RadioShack now offering T-Mobile myTouch 3G (and other phones)

As part of its previously announced deal with T-Mobile, RadioShack today announced that the T-Mobile myTouch 3G is available at over 4,000 of its stores, located across the USA.  A selection of other T-Mobile devices are also available, though the press release makes no mention of the G1.

Since the release doesn’t bring up pricing, I’d probably have to assume that pricing for the handsets will be in step with T-Mobile USA’s own retail locations.

So T-Mobile is competing through alternate retail channels – not a bad move. They really need to step up their hardware portfolio. Android was a great choice, but they need to complement it with smartphones that are not yesterday’s devices.
