Get To Your History and Bookmarks Faster!

I’ve been using the Galaxy Nexus ever since it was released on Verizon’s 4G LTE network. And personally, I think the phone is incredible. My only issue is that the history and bookmark sections of the browser take a few clicks to get to (You have to go into your open tabs and then hit the bookmarks button). It is not a ground breaking issue, and neither is the solution that I have found. But surely, it is something that I should I would share.

Once you open the browser, press and hold the back button on your Android device. After about a second of holding, your browser should take you into the history and bookmarks page.

That’s it! This was done on a Galaxy Nexus running Ice Cream Sandwich with the three software buttons shown in the picture to the left. I would assume that this works on the majority of Android devices including Honeycomb and Gingerbread. However, I cannot confirm that. Furthermore, I went ahead to see if this back button “long-press” worked in any other stock applications. Sadly, I have not yet found an application that has this same feature.

Try this on your Android device? Let us know if it worked or not and what Android version you are using in the comments below.
