Avid Android gamers have plenty of things to look forward to, what with the expected arrival of several gaming machines – all powered by Google’s mobile OS – in the market soon.
One of the stand-outs is GameStick, an up and coming game console which started its life as a Kickstarter project and has managed to secure over $640,000 in pledges. If you somehow missed the boat on that one, you’ll get another shot of getting the console early.
PlayJam, the brain behind GameStick, is launching a new pre-order service for the device. Not only is the price being kept the same, but you’ll also receive the console months before it officially hits stores worldwide – though only after all the Kickstarter backers have received their units.
For folks who need a refresher, GameStick is a gaming console that also doubles as a Bluetooth-powered controller. The system, which lives inside the HDMI dongle, comes with an Amlogic 8726-MXS processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD slot (up to 32B), and WiFi b/g/n. PlayJam said that it will ship the device in April with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on board.
If you got $79 to spend, you can snag GameStick by visiting the company’s online store right here.
