At Google’s Android and Chrome event in San Francisco today, Google was quick to reveal that there have been 70 million Android tablet activations, and that there are over 1 million applications in the Google Play Store.
Google employee Sundar Pichai revealed that one in two tablets sold is an Android tablet and that the Nexus 7 alone accounts for 10% of Android tablet market share. Sundar Pichai also revealed that there have been over 50 billion applications downloaded in the Play Store, up from 20 billion last year.
Revenue for developers has increased by 2.5x in the last 12 months, and revenue per user is also up 2.5x over last year.

I wonder if they’re counting actual apps…there’s a TON of tweaks and customizations that aren’t really apps in the Play Store.
Yup you bet on it ,that’s why i leverage to ios devices for quality apps and games. If you want bet of the both buy an iPad and android smartphone its awesome combo breaker.

i wouldn’t party because all 85% tablets are cheap Chinese tablet and free given galaxy tab with every phone , except for nexus tablet.

yeah no one is telling there sells except for asus ,which sold nexus 7 ,7million and only samsung is other high player but there tablet are “meh” (except nexus 10).
