Plants vs Zombies Finally Coming to the Android Market This Week

December 14, 2011

This may come as a surprise to some of you, but Plants vs Zombies has only been available in the Amazon App Store so far, and it’s been quite a few months since it first launched on Amazon with their free app of the day program, and later being priced at $2.99. Apparently, the exclusivity lasted a lot more than it did for other apps.

Plants vs Zombies is easily one of the most addicting games I’ve ever played (played it on the PC actually), and I’d even go to say that it’s more addicting than Angry Birds. Once you get into it, you’ll want to play it for days until you finish it. It’s a lot of fun, and it’s built in such a way that you’ll want to play the next round *immediately*, especially when you get more “weapons” and you’re interested to see what they do, or how much better you’ll play they game with them.

It also has a lot of rounds – about 60 if I remember correctly – and they last for quite a while, so it should take you at least a few days of almost continuous gameplay to finish it. Perhaps the reason it has been delayed so much for the (real) Android Market is because they’ve been adding more levels and weapons to the game.

This is a must try game, even if you think it’s not for you from watching the images I didn’t think I’d like it at first, too, but I’m glad I tried it. If you can’t wait until it arrives, you can give a try in Chrome (trial, a few levels) to get you started.
