Photos of Google Android prototype phones

Just some photos that we picked up off of the hard disk. These were taken by MobileBurn’s Michael Oryl at the 2008 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain in February. The smaller devices lack a touchscreen, while the big monster prototype is using a full touchscreen.

Hopefully we’ll get to see a lot more than clunky prototypes like these in the near future, as we’re holding out hope that HTC will be showing off its new Dream at the event in London it is hosting next month.

Anyway, on to the photos….

Are you sure about that first picture?

In the “Touchscreen prototype” picture I can clearly see its running windows mobile! Not Android.

Quite sure. This prototype was photographed long before final Android user interface had been developed. I shot this photo myself and used the device. This was no Windows Mobile smartphone.
