PCD possibly bringing Android-based tablets to U.S. market

According to Fierce Wireless, cell phone supplier Personal Communication Devices said at the 2009 CTIA Wireless I.T. and Entertainment show that it is considering offering touchscreen-equipped tablet type devices based on Android or Windows Mobile to carriers in the U.S. market.

PCD itself is not a manufacturer of devices, but rather acts as a broker for carriers like Verizon and AT&T, lining up handsets from Asian manufacturers that can then be offered in the USA. An example of such is the Casio Gz’One and Exilim line of cell phones that Verizon offers.

It appears that no real details have been provided at this time. You can find the source story on the Fierce Wireless website.
