PAC-MAN

PAC-MAN

Today Namco announced that PAC-MAN, along with Inspector Gadget, Rolling with Katamari, and Brain Coach, is now available for the Google Android smartphone platform.  Users can find the games in the Android Market app store.

In somewhat related software news, Sherpa developer Geodelic announced today that it has partnered with Skyhook, developer of a positioning system that makes use of WiFi hotspot and cell tower locations, as well as GPS, to determine a device’s location.  Geodelic will use Skyhook’s system to more accurately pinpoint a Sherpa user’s location.

Hasn’t Pac-Man been out for a while now?

  • Charis

Thats been around for ages hasn’t it? I don’t personally like how it works very much either because i find the trackball quite difficiult to use in general. Probably just me.

Umm… I have Pac-Man forever. It was one of the first games I ever installed. What’s the deal?

Not sure what the deal is, to be honest. This press release came out yesterday. Was the prior version not official Namco, or is Namco just wasting my time?

I’m assuming that the press release you’re reading is the same as the one over here: http://bit.ly/12nLzY If you read it carefully, they say “They follow the success of PAC-MAN which Namco made available to Android users … in September 2008.”

Pacman by Namco was never released outside the US…. Its not a global app, but they want $6.99 AUD for it, if I want to install it into my HTC magic!

I think you G1 owners got it for free!
