The news on the wire suggests that Orange may be the first in the UK to receive the ‘HTC Hero’. Although the device has been seen around town already and the new UI for the device has already been snapped, there has been no word on the official specifications of the device. If the reports are accurate, it won’t be hitting any home runs, but may offer HSDPA connectivity, a 3MP camera and Bluetooth; all completely expected, and certainly nothing out of the ordinary.
The device is said to be hitting the USA in August, but currently we have no date lined up for the UK landing. We already heard that Orange France was meant to get a bunch of Android devices this year so it comes as no surprise to read that their UK counterpart is also interested in the Android action. We’ll keep you informed.
