When it comes to LG smartphones, most of us generally think of a phone with reasonably high quality, if not the most cutting edge features on the market in some cases. And these smartphones sell rather well, though.
While many Optimus smartphones are far from ‘high-end’, a new rumor suggests they may be raising the bar with the so-called Optimus G. The Optimus G will supposedly feature a quad-core LTE design with a 4.7-inch IPS True HD display, 2GB of RAM, and an impressive 13MP camera. The heart of the phone is believed to run on Android 4.0 ICS, alongside the LG Optimus UI 3.0.
When will we see the Optimus G? Considering IFA 2012 starts in late August, I’d take a guess that we could certainly see this new smartphone revealed officially in a few days. Needless to say, this is not a bad sounding phone, even if we don’t know all the specifics.
If the handset does arrive at IFA, odds are that a stateside release could be upon us sometime this fall or early winter. Does the idea of a 4G LTE quad-core 13MP LG smartphone tempt you?
