There’s no shortage of beautiful-looking, heat-packing Full HD smartphones, but if you want one that’ll go easy on your pocket you have a real quest to complete. Thankfully, Oppo’s Find 5 looks all set to finally enjoy its much anticipated and long awaited international launch.
A dedicated Oppostyle.com webpage has been set up for international shipping, with limited quantities said to be available starting in around five hours (at 8 AM PST, to be more exact).
Unfortunately, you’ll probably have to be very quick about ordering the Find 5. The “limited quantities” mention is not just Oppo’s way of covering all bases, but a loud and clear message – stock will run out in a matter of hours, as it did in China.
We’re unsure about the magnitude of the launch, but we’re guessing orders from all around the world will be fulfilled, with shipping costs to differ from continent to continent. Americans will probably get free shipping, while the starting price should be of around $499. Naturally, for an unlocked version of the Find 5 with 16 GB of on-board storage.
However, with Canadians being asked to cough up a whopping 629 bucks for the same 16 GB model, we wouldn’t be shocked to see Oppo raise the pricing bar on its official website as well. Bummed out, definitely, but not shocked.
If the 5-incher will go for sale for $500 with free global shipping, you really don’t have any reason to turn it down. Don’t trust us? Maybe this review, hands-on video and head-to-head comparisons with the Galaxy Note 2, HTC One X+ and LG Optimus G Pro will help make up your mind.
