We are happy to report that a few new pictures of the Neo FreeRunner by Openmoko (running Android) have surfaced over at iMAndroid. We apologise for the blurriness of the photos, but we do believe they are genuine. iMAndroid claim that they think the FreeRunner will be the second Android clad phone on the market, but the race is certainly tightening up for a photographic finish.

As we previously stated, Koolu, “a company that distributes and installs third party software to open-source phones” had already successfully ported Android to the FreeRunner. Obviously we still expect this phone with Android to be available in the 1st quarter of 2009, and perhaps even the first month. Pictures after the break.
