OpenFeint coming to Android

OpenFeint

OpenFeint have just recieved another round of funding (for want of a better term) from Chinese game firm The9. OpenFeint has 25 million users on their social networking service for apps on the App Store, so it all kinda makes sense. The good news is that it will extend its social gaming network to Android apps.

Indeed, according to tuaw.com “OpenFeint is launching on Android with a few major app developers in tow and support for Google Checkout and a few other services.” This will be great news for Android as the social networking tool will now allow Android users to track their achievements on a global leaderboard, accept challenges from other OpenFeint users and best of all, discover new games easily.
